Special Education Solutions for Your District
We understand...
As a superintendent, balancing student success with district resources, compliance, and staff retention is critical. Stages Learning offers a comprehensive solution to improve special education outcomes while addressing key challenges such as IDEA compliance, reducing costly outplacements, and supporting family engagement.
With the ARIS tools, you can also enhance teacher satisfaction and retention—reducing turnover and its associated costs. ARIS empowers educators to serve students within the district, ensuring compliance and protecting your budget from the risks of litigation and outplacement.
Support Students, Families, Teachers, & Your District’s Budget
The ARIS Curriculum empowers your educators with the tools they need to meet student needs, comply with regulations, and reduce costly outplacements. As your partner, we help you deliver measurable results for students, build strong family relationships, and keep your budget on track—all while supporting teacher retention and satisfaction.
Drive Student Success & Ensure Compliance
Meeting federal guidelines isn't just about checking boxes; it's about ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. Stages' ARIS curriculum empowers your district to stay compliant while driving meaningful outcomes for students.
ARIS' real-time progress tracking gives educators a clear snapshot of student performance. Teachers can make data-driven decisions by tracking student progress across lessons, over time. When students show measurable progress, compliance becomes a natural byproduct, allowing districts to focus on what truly matters—ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
At Warren Consolidated, a full class of students made significant strides, with each student progressing from 'no reaction' to proficiency across essential learning readiness skills. Clear, visual data empowers educators to celebrate successes, make informed adjustments, and confidently meet compliance standards—all while maximizing student growth.

Stages Learning & edWeb Survey
edWeb, in partnership with STAGES Learning, completed a survey in January 2024 on The Impact of Staffing Shortages on Special Needs Students.
The survey, emailed to 62,476 edWeb members with a role or interest in special education, received 742 responses, a 1.1% response rate.
In addition to the quantitative results, we received over 500 comments (52 pages) from respondents providing in-depth insights on the staffing issues and impact.
According to the survey results, coaching and mentorship, along with on-site, in-person professional learning, were rated as the most effective strategies for improving educator practices and boosting staff retention. Stages prioritizes these high-impact methods by providing embedded coaching and hands-on professional learning directly in your district.
By aligning our support with what educators find most valuable, we empower teachers to grow professionally, feel more supported, and ultimately remain committed to their roles, reducing turnover and improving outcomes for students.
Engagement for every child. Progress you can measure.

Keep Students in District & Reduce Outplacements
When students require specialized education services, many districts feel their only option is to place them in out-of-district programs - a solution that's not only costly for districts but often disruptive for students and families. At Stages Learning, we believe there's a better way.
The Language Builder® ARIS® curriculum empowers districts to build high-quality special education programs within their own schools, allowing students to learn and grow in their home communities while significantly reducing district costs.
The Weehawken Success Story
In Weehawken Township School District, the implementation of ARIS® helped reduce out-of-district placements from 67 students to just 13 in three years. This dramatic improvement wasn't just about budget savings - it meant:
- Students could learn alongside their peers in their own community
- Families avoided long commutes and separation from their neighborhood school
- Teachers gained the tools and support to serve diverse learning needs
- The district maintained quality control over their special education programs
As Superintendent Eric Crespo notes, "It's incredible that we're seeing our students developing in the manner that they are and their families are so happy."
Engaging Families & Building Trust
Strong relationships with families are crucial to avoiding litigation and ensuring positive student outcomes. Stages’ family engagement tools help foster open communication and transparency, making families feel supported and involved in their child’s education. By demonstrating measurable student progress and clear instructional goals, your district can build trust, reduce legal risks, and strengthen family partnerships, ensuring that disputes are resolved collaboratively.
- Family Engagement: Strengthen relationships with families through transparent communication and real-time updates on student progress.
- Litigation Risk Reduction: By building trust and keeping families informed, districts can minimize the likelihood of disputes escalating to litigation.
