Janessa Schmauder

SLP Janessa Schmauder is a dedicated member of the Preschool & SUCCESS teams, at Jennie Reed Elementary in Tacoma, WA. Janessa is committed to ensuring that all students receive the support to thrive, utilizing a diverse range of tools to promote communication, including for those who use alternative means of communicating.

Chelsea is a Resource Specialist who supports 24(!!) TK-5th grade students at Green Acres Elementary, a Title 1 school in Santa Cruz, CA.  Like so many educators, Chelsea reports spending countless hours trying to patchwork curriculum to support students' educational and social/emotional development. 

eden douglas

Eden teaches in a self-contained classroom for students with autism at Mary Ingles Elementary School in Charleston, WV. She oversees a diverse group of students (mostly non-verbal) and also provides part-time support to others in general education settings.

Opal  is a beginning teacher at Rockfish Elementary in North Carolina who's enthusiastic about supporting children with autism. Opal was inspired to pursue a career in Special Education after witnessing the impact of an excellent teacher on her son's academic success, and believes no two students with autism are alike.

Heather Ganime is an Early Childhood Special Education teacher in Missouri who has been teaching for 11 years. She serves students between 3 and 5 years old with developmental delays, the majority of whom are on the autism spectrum. Heather finds joy in seeing her students make progress, no matter how small it may seem.

Bronwynne is a Preschool Disabilities teacher in New Jersey who believes that all students have the capacity to learn. She personalizes instructional to create a student-centered environment. As an out-of-the-box thinker, Bronwynne creates unconventional ways to reach and meet her students where they are.

Anne May is a dedicated early childhood special education teacher in Warren Consolidated School District, MI. She focuses on improving academic and school readiness skills for her transitional kindergarten students, particularly those with autism. Building relationships with students' families is one of Anne's priorities.
